Boats in PSNS to be cutup
This some pictures I took in April 2001 while working at PSNS for EB
All images are thumbnails so click on them to see full size.
This is the USS Alaska SSBN 732 in drydock in PSNS. The picture was taken on April 7,2001. The Alaska and Nevada were in PSNS for conversion to D-5 Missile.
The lower picture is the Alaska looking down from the plane on the same day. You can see the planes tire at the bottom of the picture.
The white covers you see are Bird cages used for going up and down the missile
tubes.
That is the USS Naveda SSBN 733 in the Carrier Dry Dock at PSNS. You can see she looks small
when compared to a CVN. Also note the USS Triton SSN 586 to the left. Still not cut up, don't know why but she just sits there(Think she is too hot to work now).
Below are 637 class and 688 class boats waiting to be cut up. I have put the numbers on them. The gray hulls you see are CCN's that will be cutup also. Sorry don't remember the names.

Drop me some email and let me know what you think.
This last photo is of a UK Trident I took at the Cape.
